A Cook and a Baker am I. A Seamstress I am not. However, I appreciate the art of connecting fabrics. I admire this talent from afar - in those around me. I have sister-in-laws who sew. I have friends who sew. I have a mother-in-law who is very good at using a needle and thread. I do not sew nor do I anticipate this talent ever being in my repertoire. My patience and attention span will not sustain such a task. However, through the years I have enjoyed the generosity of those mentioned above. Scout patches sewn on Taiden's shirt by Patricia. Baby blankets given by Shaunie and Carene. Numerous costumes and dresses provided by Ann. And the latest:
A new bag sewn by a friend, Amy. I didn't know what big plans were in store for this little tote of cuteness, but I've decided that it will house the much needed paper pants for my 8 month old. I've never had a cute diaper bag. I've always just settled for the freebies that the hospital hands out as gratitude for spending a lot of money during your stay with them. Finally, child #4 has a respectable place for his under thingies. Did I mention that it's corduroy? Thanks, Amy!

What a cute bag! I, also, am not a sewer, but I have decided it is something I need to learn to do so it's on my list of resolutions this year.
Thanks for letting me stop by!

You are SO welcome...I knew you'd like it!
Okay, really it's a different Amy - one who can actually sew! I cannot sew a stitch, dang it! I have always wanted to be able to and even took a 'Sewing 101' class at the Y, but it was so HARD I was lucky to get a 'B' out of it! Seriously, two girls in my class started crying in the final because of the pressure! Needless to say, that class only comfirmed for me that I will probably not ever be a seamstress.
LOVE the bag and I'm glad you have at least one talented Amy in your life! :)
could you believe i've been so busy i haven't even had the time to blog or comment on at least your blog! now that i'm up to date...1. good luck with the sugar. my weapon of choice to combate the after dinner munchies...gum!! 2. why weren't there any pics of you on sticks, i though you were a ski woman. 3. cute bag! what happened to your zebra purse. i saw it, there was plenty of room for some extra under thingies. but i'm loving the bag, what a cute design. (ps i too will never know what the satisfaction of sewing two peices of fabric together to create some sort of fabric masterpeice. it's okay, a friend once told me, you can't be great at everything. sound familiar?)
That bag is darling. I do sew but I'm a little too lazy for anything that darling and creative. My skills get relegated to hemming and fixing things.
Wow my bag made it to your blog. I'm glad that you like it!
